SIM Registration Issues and Solutions

While processing TNT SIM registration, you may encounter some issues such as not receiving the OTP, errors when uploading images, poor image quality, signal problems, invalid information, and SIM card insertion troubleshooting. Solutions to each of these issues are explained below to help resolve your concerns.

SIM Card Insertion Troubleshoot

If you face issues with SIM registration due to the cellular network not working or poor signal, try turning off your phone and removing the SIM card. Dry the SIM card gently with a clean, soft cloth, then reinsert it into your phone. If the issue persists, try inserting the SIM card into a different mobile phone.

Uploading Image Errors

According to TNT SIM guidelines, you can upload photos of up to 2MB with HD quality. If you try to upload an image larger than 2MB (such as a photo of your ID card or a selfie), it will result in an upload error. Try the following steps to reduce the image size:

  1. Before capturing your ID or selfie, adjust your camera settings to a lower quality.
  2. Resize the photo by taking a screenshot, then cropping it appropriately.
  3. Compress the images using an online image resizer to reduce the file size, which can help prevent upload errors.

Note: Resizing the photo won’t compromise the image quality.

Invalid Information

Sometimes, invalid information is entered on the form, such as spelling mistakes in your name or mismatched details that don’t align with your government-issued ID. To avoid errors, carefully review your form multiple times and ensure all details match your legal documents.

Signal Problem

If you’re registering your SIM card in a remote area with weak signals, such as a village, try enabling Airplane mode on your phone, then disabling it to reset the connection. If the signal improves, proceed with registration; otherwise, consider completing the registration in an area with a stronger signal. Also, ensure your APN settings are correct for your cellular network.

OTP Not Received

If you don’t receive the OTP, contact the TNT/Smart helpline. You can reach them via the provided helpline number or use the “Chat with Agent” button to connect with their chatbot.
